Handbendi Brúðuleikhús presents Búkolla, an Icelandic folktale - told by puppets

Búkolla
Búkolla

Hvammstangi's resident puppet theatre re-invents Iceland's favourite folktale in this charming and playful adaption. Featuring trolls, a magical cow, and handcrafted puppets - this tale of friendship is not to be missed. Performed in English. Icelandic performances available when booked in advance.

When the family cow goes missing it is up to a young boy to find her. He journeys up mountains and through valleys, to the edge of the land where the sea beats against the hard cliff walls.  What he discovers will change his life forever.  A story of an epic friendship featuring a magic cow, mischievous trolls, and beautifully handcrafted puppets, Búkolla is the perfect activity for the culturally curious and those travelling with kids.

The performance will be held daily at noon between June 10 and September 1 at The Seal Centre, near the harbour in Hvammstangi. Running time is 20 minutes.

Tickets available from the Icelandic Seal Centre (+354 451 2345) or at Seal Travel.
